NTB (New Technology of Business)

History

Since 2002, Moscow University of Industry and Finance (MUIF) jointly with the Group of NTB companies has been implementing a practice-orientated educational program within NTB (New Technology of Business). The main objective of the program is to build up a cohesive team of young, energetic, and educated specialists who are capable of providing significant contribution to the development of innovative sectors of the Russian economy. The educational process includes conventional lectures, seminars and practical training, business games, workshops, master classes of the famous entrepreneurs and politicians and visits to the advanced enterprises.

Students of NTB are talented, creative, and confident in their abilities young people who will become the business elite of Russia in the nearest future.

Board of Trustees

Strategic management of NTB has the Board of Trustees. It is composed of representatives of the University Administration, Government bodies and successful local business community. Board of Trustees aims to strengthen the partnership between NTB and Russian business community to promote fundraising for the development of the department and implementation of best business projects of students, quality assurance and updating of the educational programs. Members of the Board of Trustees facilitate training process, business exercises, project management practices of undergraduate students, assist in the future employment of the best graduates, and conduct master classes and business workshops.

Admission

To join the NTB department applicants (high school graduates) are expected to pass tight competitive selection. They have to fill an IT — related Questionnaire and pass an interview with a representative of MUIF. Fluent English, IT competency approved by questionnaire outcome, self-motivation and desire to change their lifestyle are the key factors to succeed in selection.

Learning System

The educational process at the NTB program combines two key components — the study of academic disciplines within the chosen specialty and practical exercises, which provides skills improvement starting from the first year of study at the University. The learning process involves three stages:

• Stage 1 — a fundamental one.It includes intensive theoretical training and forms the knowledge base necessary for gaining success in the future;
• Stage 2 — an applied one.It is aimed at the practical application of academic knowledge during the internship at the leading Russian companies and the development of professional competencies;
• Stage 3 — a targeted one. It provides regular monitoring of quality assurance through the set of assessments. It determines the final scope of professional interest, develops and implements an individual career plan. Education gained at NTB is highly demanded and relevant to the labor market.

Sport

Physical exercises and training is one of the priorities for NTB students.It supports a healthy lifestyle. A specialized sport program was developed for students of NTB.It includes the training of Tae-Bo and yoga. Daily physical activity are mandatory throughout the whole period of education.It contains some elements of the shock technique and basic components of Hatha yoga. During the summer time several workshops are provided outdoors. Interdepartmental competitions are regularly organized. The curriculum is also aimed at the spiritual development of students in accordance with the Code of Tae-Bo fighters providing for fairness, responsibility of men, loyalty to the nation, respect for the mentors, indomitable team spirit and mutual support. Thus, NTB graduates have not only high professional competence, but also moral, psychological, and physical qualities necessary for effective performance of their duties (including their patriotic duty).

Student Life

All NTB students are primarily focused on the development of their professional skills, competencies and career life. They study fundamental disciplines and specialized courses, participate in trainings and master-classes, and work in the largest commercial companies and business groups.

Hostel

NTB students are provided with a free hostel. The accommodation includes rooms for 2–4 people. The hostel is guarded 24 hours per day.
